Abatement is underway and the owner wants independent oversight
Monitoring performed for the owner, agency or lender, separate from the abatement contractor, reporting direct to the client.
The jurisdiction requires a licensed monitor on site
Philadelphia removal requires a Licensed Asbestos Project Inspector; Delaware requires a Project Monitor. AET holds both.
Worker exposure has to be documented
Personal and area sampling under the applicable OSHA standards, with results compared to permissible exposure limits and action levels.
Occupied space sits next to active work
Perimeter and work-area particulate monitoring during construction, demolition and remediation.
Drying or remediation must stay within specified limits
Moisture and humidity monitoring that documents conditions held to the specification for the duration.
A contractor’s own monitoring will not satisfy the owner
Third-party results carry weight with agencies, lenders and insurers that self-monitoring does not.

Philadelphia specific air monitoring services for Major and Minor asbestos projects by a licensed Asbestos Project Inspector. AET’s services are compliant with the City of Philadelphia’s Asbestos Control Regulations.

Asbestos Air Monitoring
AET’s industrial hygienists routinely perform air monitoring during asbestos abatement related activities for industrial, commercial and private industry throughout the tri-state area. AET’s services follow federal, state and local regulations.
How the numbers are produced
Instruments are calibrated and checked on a set schedule, and analysis is performed by certified analysts against published action levels.
